Teaching is a process of conveying knowledge to others. It is a way of helping others learn new things as well as giving additional knowledge to them. What I learned in this module is that teaching must not be fully centered to teacher centered approaches but must be a collaboration on both side. Teachers should be facilitator to student learning by helping them acquired new knowledge and skills as well as to enhance the talents they already have
Teacher also need to understand and know their student well in order for them to devise or designs their instructional method and materials based on what their student needs. They must also be able to used available resources and think carefully how they will be able to hand over what they know or help student in learning. In learning environment, teachers must be able to catch the students’ interest in order for them to be able to grasp the knowledge you have to teach them.
I remember when I was studying, I do love teacher who in one way or another give examples that is based on their experiences. It catches my attention, makes me remember the topic as well as understands that what she teaches will be useful for me as soon as I graduate from school.
Teaching is not easy because it required a lot of time and effort. It requires a lot of intellectual work and reflection for student to have a fruitful learning environment.
